He did not study the copy. He mastered the source. Board Certified Hypnotherapist, Certified Instructor of the National Guild of Hypnotists — the oldest and largest hypnosis organisation in the world — and Founding President of its India chapter. Most people meet NLP through a weekend seminar. Dr. Sharma met it in 1990, from Dr. Ajay Kotwal, a professor of English who had taken his doctorate two years earlier on the plays of George Bernard Shaw — a man whose subject was how a single line of dialogue changes what a listener believes. Any trainer with a licence can print your certificate, and the paper is identical everywhere. What is not identical is what happens to you across the eight days that earn it. That depends entirely on how much of the territory the person at the front of the room has actually walked — and this one walked it before NLP had a name in India. People come here for the paper. They leave changed in ways they did not know to ask for.

A position, not a limitation
We do not certify online.
NLP is a calibration discipline. The trainer's work is to read what the room is doing — breathing, colour, the half-second delay before an answer. That cannot be transmitted through a webcam, because it cannot be performed through one either. What survives the screen is the vocabulary. What dies is the practice.

Before the certificates
His first case study was his own life.
Poonch sits on the Line of Control, the militarised border between India and Pakistan. He grew up there, and in village schools, about as far from the centre of anything as this country goes.
There was no internet to be visible on. No LinkedIn, no YouTube, no personal brand, no way to be found. Nobody could look him up, because there was nowhere to look. If you wanted to end up teaching in Switzerland, you could not be discovered. You had to be good enough in a room that someone who met you insisted on it.
By 2003 he was running a transformation programme for an international audience in the Swiss mountains. The film exists. So do the photographs, and the people who were in the room.
They asked him back the next year. And the year after. Zürich. Stoos. Flumserberg. Lucerne. Thalwil. Later, Slovenia. Years of European rooms, on invitation, paid for by people with no reason to grant him anything. In September 2004, a Swiss academy stopped inviting him and named him a partner.
Between a border town and that room there are no shortcuts. No family name. No institution. No algorithm. Only the thing he now teaches — reading a person, holding a room, changing a state, starting with his own.
Every trainer in this market will tell you the patterns work. He is what happens when someone has nothing else and uses them anyway. Ask most trainers for a case study and they hand you a client. His first case study was his own life.
Precisely: the European engagements were transformation programmes and retreats for international audiences, not NLP certification cohorts. Certification is delivered in India and the UAE. Each is listed with its city, year, host and audience, with original photographs, film and documents.

Switzerland went looking for a partner in India.
NLP-Akademie Schweiz taught across six cities — Basel, Bern, St. Gallen, Zürich, Luzern and Konstanz — as a member association of the International Association for NLP, its programmes acknowledged by SVEB, the Swiss state authority for adult training.
It named a co-operating Partner and Sponsor in research and training. The announcement carried two signatures, both IANLP Fellow Member Trainers. One of them, Ueli R. Frischknecht, has been Secretary General of the International Association for NLP since 2000, and holds that office today.
The man they named was from Jammu.

Two of them already hold the credentials taught here. One holds the same government registration. One holds the same instructor standing in the same hypnosis organisation, on another continent. One came from a village government school, won a national television series, and now runs his own business. They are not students who needed a certificate. They are people who wanted what he knows.
Where NLP came from, and what came first
NLP was assembled in California from linguistics, psychology, hypnosis and cybernetics. He trained in the human disciplines beneath all of them.
Language structure
Pāṇini
NLP's Meta Model rests on Chomsky's transformational grammar. That grammar has an acknowledged ancestor: Pāṇini's Aṣṭādhyāyī, c. 4th century BCE — roughly four thousand generative rules, recursion, metarules, a zero symbol.
Internal representation and identity
Vajrayana
Deity yoga builds a complete sensory representation and then inhabits it. Guru yoga is structured acquisition of an exemplar's capacities — modelling, formalised as a curriculum, a thousand years early. His doctorate is in this.
State and physiology
Yoga, Tantra, Qigong
Breath, posture and attention, worked directly to change state. Harvard research in Nature, 1982, recorded g Tum-mo practitioners raising the temperature of their fingers and toes by up to 8.3°C at will — voluntary control of vasodilation, measured and published. He holds a lineage in each of the three.
This is not a claim that NLP borrowed from India. It did not. It is a claim about depth of field: NLP's sources are a century or two old, their Indian counterparts are two thousand, and he studied both.

Before you choose anyone
Eleven questions to ask any NLP trainer in India.
Ask them of this academy. Ask them of every alternative. A trainer worth ₹45,000 of your money and eight days of your life should be able to answer all eleven without hesitating.
- How many years have you been actively practising NLP, not merely certified in it?
- Whose lineage does your certification descend from, and can you show the signatures?
- Which organisation certifies your students, and what is that organisation's standing?
- What formal qualification do you hold in psychology or human behaviour, outside NLP?
- Are you independently trained in hypnosis, or only in NLP's borrowing from it?
- Where have you applied this work outside a training room — which institutions, which years?
- Have you delivered internationally, in person, and can you evidence it?
- How many people are in the room, and how many hours of supervised practice will I get?
- How am I assessed, and by whom?
- What happens after the training — is there mentoring, and for how long?
- Which of your claims can I verify without asking your permission?
